- Mid Island Galveston is the heart of in-town condominium living. Fronting the Seawall are buildings used for vacation rentals, long term leasing as well as permanent homes.
- Most striking perhaps is the San Luis Condominium adjacent to the San Luis Hotel. Here one can buy entire units or fractional shares. Here vacation rentals are very popular as they have access to the Hotel amenities.
- At 61st and Seawall is the venerable and modern Casa del Mar. Currently operated as a condo-hotel, these buildings were built by stacking precast concrete modules on top of one another.
